IFD rescues injured teenager near Holliday Park

A 13-year-old boy was injured and needed rescuing after a fall while hiking by a creek.

INDIANAPOLIS — A 13-year-old boy was injured and needed rescuing after a fall while hiking near Holliday Park.

The Indianapolis Fire Department reports the teenager was hiking with his mother when he slipped and fell near a creek. He didn't land in the creek, but was injured and needed rescuing.

An IFD tactical team hiked down to the teenager and carried him out. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
