Severe weather blog: All Indiana Tornado Warnings expired

Stay Weather Aware as storms sweep through central Indiana Thursday evening.

INDIANAPOLIS — Storms are raining down on central Indiana and Hoosiers are being urged to Stay Weather Aware, as strong winds are possible tonight.

Storms will be scattered, and some severe with large hail and damaging winds are possible through about 10 p.m. Rotating storms are possible, too.

9:00 p.m. - David Harbison shared video with 13News of a funnel cloud near Parkersburg in Montgomery County.

8:43 p.m. - An Areal Flood Warning for Fountain county is in effect until 2:30 a.m. Friday.

8:30 p.m. - A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Montgomery County is in effect until 9 p.m. The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Tippecanoe County has been extended until 9:15 p.m.

8:07 p.m. - Tippecanoe County is now under Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 8:30 p.m. after the Tornado Warning that was set to end at 8:15 p.m. was canceled.

8 p.m. - The Tornado Warnings for Fountain and Montgomery counties has expired. The Tippecanoe County Tornado Warning is still in effect until 8:15 p.m.

Parke County EMA director Chris O'Brien said there was no serious impact from storms that rolled through there. The county only recorded a tree down and some minor flooding.

7:40 p.m. - Fountain, Montgomery and Tippecanoe counties are now under a Tornado Warning until 8:15 p.m. Law enforcement reported a large tornado on the ground in Montgomery County, near I-74 and State Road 25.

7:25 p.m. - A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Owen and Putnam counties is in effect until 8 p.m. The storm cell has strong winds, specifically along the leading edge.

7:15 p.m. - The Tornado Warning in Fountain County was extended to 7:45 p.m. Montgomery County is also in effect until 7:45 p.m. The storm is moving northeast at 25 mph.

7:13 p.m. - The Tornado Warning in Fountain County is in effect until 7:15 p.m. There is rotation in the storm, and it's holding together as it heads north toward Waynetown and Hillsboro.

6:46 p.m. - The tornado warnings for Fountain and Parke counties were extended until 7:15 p.m. Storms are moving north-northeast.

6:40 p.m. - Tornado warnings are in effect for Bartholomew and Jennings counties until 6:45 p.m., and Fountain, Tippecanoe and Parke counties until 7 p.m.
