INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Indiana Fever have announced Marianne Stanley will be the team's new head coach.

Stanley has been an assistant coach with the Washington Mystics since 2010. The Mystics won the 2019 WNBA championship.

Stanley was also the head coach of the Mystics in 2002, when she was named WNBA Coach of the Year and inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. She replaces Pokey Chatman, who was fired after a third-straight losing season.

The team also announced Tamika Catchings will serve as general manager.

"We are excited to bring Marianne Stanley in as our Indiana Fever Head Coach," Catchings said in a release. "Stanley is hands down one of the most decorated and experienced coaches in the WNBA."
