13INside Tracks learns how Child Advocates help Hoosier children

Child Advocates provides four different services for Hoosiers and also has a podcast.

INDIANAPOLIS — SPONSORED BY CHILD ADVOCATES

Cindy Booth, CEO of Child Advocates, told 13INside Track about the new role Child Advocates takes in the city of Indianapolis.

"We are no longer the CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocate Program, in Marion County," Booth said. "However, we continue to provide our expertise and our expert lawyers in helping children in Marion County and around the state get permanency, a safe and permanent home, more quickly."

Child Advocates provides 4 different programs in Marion County and around the state of Indiana:

  1. Mediation
  2. Direct Representation
  3. Legal Services
  4. Interrupting Racism for Children

Listen to Child Advocates' podcast, Your Voice. Their Future: How to interrupt racism, abuse, and neglect for children

"We have various guests talking about their areas of expertise and how those interact with topics that affect children," Booth said. "So, education, race equity, juvenile justice. Really fascinating, as you know, to have guests who can talk about things that they're experts in. And all of that helps us become better leaders in child welfare."
