American Senior Communities (ASC) has partnered with CVS and Omnicare to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to staff members and residents. Their pharmacists and nurses are working seven days a week to distribute vaccines as quickly as possible.
American Senior Communities was finished with the initial vaccinations by the end of February. ASC then began a third round of vaccinations to ensure all staff members and residents have the opportunity to be fully vaccinated.
Monica Leriger, Director of Pharmacy, said she loves going to the vaccination clinics. "It's almost like a party atmosphere," Monica said. "The residents have been fantastic. They are so encouraging and tough. They've been resilient through this whole thing. They know this is the path to normality."
