Coroner: 28-year-old man dies after near northeast Indy shooting

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday near 30th Street and Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue.

INDIANAPOLIS — A man has died after a shooting on Indianapolis' near northeast side Friday evening, the Marion County Coroner's Office confirmed.

The shooting was reported around 9:30 p.m. April 26 in the 2800 block of North Ralston Avenue, which is just east of Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue. 

Responding officers located a person with a gunshot wound(s) who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

On April 29, the Marion County Coroner's Office said 28-year-old Robert Lewis Woods had died following the shooting.

Police have not shared any additional information on the circumstances of the shooting, including any suspect information.
