KOKOMO, Ind. (WTHR) - A 16-year-old is dead after a late night shooing in Kokomo.
Police said officers responded to St. Vincent Hospital Thursday night on a report of a teenager that was brought to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said the teen was shot on the northwest side of Kokomo and transported to the hospital by witnesses.
The teen died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The Howard County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 16-year-old, James C. Gray Jr. of Kokomo.
Police have arrested a 15-year-old for robbery in connection to the shooting.
Investigators have also identified the second suspect who is an adult and are in the process of getting a warrant for his arrest.
Kokomo Police are urging parents to know the whereabouts of their children.
Police said Thursday's shooting is the second teenager that has died in the last three weeks due to gun violence in Kokomo.
