INDIANAPOLIS — A 29-year-old Indianapolis man has been charged with murder in the 2021 deadly shooting of another man at a northwest side apartment complex.
Around 1:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, IMPD officers responded to the 5800 block of Sebring Court, near West 59th Street and Georgetown Road, for a report of a person shot. Officers located 24-year-old Dezmond King outside with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
During their investigation, IMPD homicide detectives identified Terri Young-Moses as a suspect. On Jan. 30, 2024, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged Young-Moses with murder, armed robbery, criminal recklessness and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
The next day, Young-Moses was served in court with an arrest warrant in the case. IMPD said he was already in custody on an unrelated offense in a separate case.
