INDIANAPOLIS — Severe storms including tornadoes hit parts of central Indiana Thursday evening. The two hardest hit cities were Selma and Winchester. The National Weather Service has teams surveying the damage in those areas today.
EF 3 damage was found in Winchester. A tornado rated as an EF 3 can have winds 136-165mph.
This tornado developed over Selma and did lots of damage in Selma and Winchester before moving into Ohio after Union City. The path length was just over 25 miles long and max winds were 155-165mph.
There were 38 injuries reported but thankfully no fatalities.
