INDIANAPOLIS — It was a chilly, winter-like day across central Indiana with a few spitting flurries around at times. Temperatures have been hovering in the mid 30s all day.
The active pattern continues for a couple more days. An upper-level disturbance arrives late tonight, bringing snow showers around 3 a.m. until 7 a.m. Temperatures will fall just below the freezing mark.
A mix of rain and snow will be possible from mid-morning into late afternoon, before changing back over to snow showers.
Light accumulations around a half-inch will be possible, mainly on grassy surfaces. It will be a blustery day with winds gusting around 30 to 45 mph.
Afternoon temperatures will climb into the upper 30s to near 40° with wind chill values in the mid-20s.
Snow showers will taper off Sunday evening with a gradual clearing to partly cloudy.
