Indy airport adding nonstop flights to Charleston, Hilton Head, Maine and Myrtle Beach

This is the first time Indianapolis International Airport will have nonstop flights to Hilton Head Island and Portland, Maine.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis International Airport is adding four new nonstop flights.

United Airlines is offering nonstop service to Hilton Head Island; Charleston, South Carolina; and Portland, Maine.

The Charleston and Portland flights will be available four times a week, beginning May 27. The Hilton Head flight will operate three times a week, beginning May 28.

This is the first time Indianapolis International Airport will have nonstop flights to Hilton Head and Portland.

United will use its new CRJ-550, the world's first and only 50-seat regional aircraft, for the new routes.

Southwest Airlines also announced a new nonstop flight out of Indianapolis International Airport to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The seasonal flight begins June 6 and will run until Aug. 16.
