American Senior Communities (ASC) has partnered with CVS and Omnicare to distribute free COVID-19 vaccines to staff members and residents. Their pharmacists and nurses are working seven days a week to distribute vaccines as quickly as possible.

Monica Leriger, Director of Pharmacy, promotes ASC's campaign, Victory Through Vaccination, shared through their slogan "Give me a V!" This is American Senior Communities' awareness campaign is geared towards providing education to the public about the COVID-19 vaccine.

The three most common concerns that are addressed and dispelled in American Senior Communities' series of commercials are:

1. The vaccine was rushed. However, no safety steps were skipped during the process.

2. The COVID-19 vaccine can give you COVID-19. However, "this is not true. [The vaccine] is not the virus particles at all."

3. The side effects of the vaccine. Leriger notes "the side effects are very mild and the benefits of getting the vaccine greatly outweigh those discomforts."

"This has been quite a time. But this is new hope. This vaccine brings optimism. It is our path towards a post-COVID world," Leriger said. "We at ASC are going to continue to provide the highest quality, compassionate care to all of our residents moving forward."
