Woman finds dozens of recluse spiders in her bedroom

Angela Wright said she woke up with arm pain and noticed a couple bumps on her chest and arm.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WTHR) — A Tennessee woman is recovering after she was bitten several times by spiders.

Angela Wright said she woke up with arm pain and noticed a couple bumps on her chest and arm, WSMV reported.

She went to the doctor's office and received a prescription from the doctor. But a few days later, Wright was rushed to the emergency room after she said she began hallucinating.

"I couldn't walk, I couldn't move and I could barely swallow," Wright told WSMV. "They said I was forming bubbles in my lungs, which could have caused pneumonia, and they said if I would have waited a few more hours or maybe until the next morning if I would have made it, I would have had a stroke."

After conducting an inspection in her apartment, management told her they found nearly 50 brown recluse spiders all over her bedroom.

Wright is in the process of moving while trying to break the current lease she's in. But the complex would require her to pay more than $2,000 for a 60-day notice.

An attorney told Wright that the only way she could get out of the lease without payment is to prove her apartment is uninhabitable and then give management 14 days to fix the problem. If the problem isn't fixed within the time frame, she could break the lease without consequence.
