North Carolina camera shop restoring flood damaged photos for locals

As the recovery process continues in North Carolina, there's a business that's helping people recover some of their memories lost in the flooding.

NORTH CAROLINA (WTHR) — As the recovery process continues in North Carolina, there's a business that's helping people recover some of their memories lost in the flooding.

A Greenville photo and camera shop is restoring photos that were damaged in the storm, and it has seen a dramatic increase in customers with photos that were soaked.

"As hard as it is to see people dealing with the devastation, it's rewarding to help families get back to normal," said Bruce Soles, manager of ASAP Photo and Camera in Greenville, North Carolina. "It's a good first step for a lot of families to make home start feeling like home again so those memories are still there for them to look at."

The storm damaged more than 2,000 homes in Greenville alone.
