INDIANAPOLIS — Each week, 13News' "Send the Love" campaign helps raise money for dozens of non-profits. Now, one organization is showcasing how it used those donations.
The Wishing Well Fund held its annual Christmas basket delivery on Saturday, Dec. 23 at the Primo Banquet Hall. Volunteers loaded cars to deliver food and other items to more than 160 families throughout central Indiana.
"Food insecurity is a huge issue that impacts everybody," said Becky Brtva, president of Wishing Well Fund. "It doesn't matter who you are or where you're at. You never know who is struggling every day."
The Wishing Well Fund has been around for over 30 years helping families in need by providing groceries, home repairs and even paying utility bills.
