Whitestown's 'Viking Fest' blends history and entertainment

Attendees could experience Viking villages, mock battles, live music, contests, shopping and food.

WHITESTOWN, Ind. — Viking enthusiasts flocked to Whitestown this weekend for "Viking Fest."

The event blended history with entertainment and took place at Anson Acres Park. Attendees could experience Viking villages, mock battles, live music, contests, shopping and food. 

"Yeah we're just getting our start, we're happy to be here. We're excited to meet all the people and see all the cool venders. Even the music, this music is so good. It hits something real deep in you," said one attendee.

The event had something for everyone of all ages and wrapped up Sunday at 5 p.m.
