48-year-old pedestrian killed in southeast Indianapolis crash

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on the southeast side of Indianapolis late Monday.

An IMPD spokesperson said the crash happened around 10 p.m. April 15 in the 4600 block of East County Line Road, which is just west of Emerson Avenue.

Few details were immediately available, but the spokesperson said the victim, an adult male, was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead.

On April 24, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the man as 48-year-old Brandon Scott Sperry and said his manner of death was accidental.

The IMPD spokesperson said the driver of the car that struck the man was cooperating with police.
