INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after 42-year-old man was found dead in a pond Monday on the city's near northeast side.
Police responded to a report of a body in the water in the 2200 block of East 24th Street, near Hillside Avenue, shortly before noon April 8.
Officers, along with Indianapolis firefighters, arrived and found a person in a pond. Police confirmed the person was dead at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 42-year-old Christopher Merle Jones. The coroner's office has not said how Jones died.
