No injuries in 'gear up' landing at Fishers airport

The plane, described only as a twin Cessna, landed late Tuesday evening with landing gear not deployed.
A small plane landed without landing gear at Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport late Tuesday.

FISHERS, Ind. (WTHR) - Police said late Tuesday the pilot of an aircraft was not injured when forced to make a "gear up" landing at Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport.

The plane, described only as a twin Cessna, landed late Tuesday evening. The pilot was the only occupant.

The runway is was closed after the incident.

A wrecker has been called to remove the aircraft.

Airport police will make a report.
