ISP: Small school bus involved in crash near South Split; minor injuries reported

The crash was reported around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday on westbound I-70, just west of I-65.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police is investigating a crash involving a school bus near the South Split Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported around 7:15 a.m. April 16 along westbound Interstate 70, just west of Interstate 65. 

An ISP spokesperson said the M.S.D. of Decatur Township bus overturned in the crash and there were students on board, but only minor injuries were reported.

Three people were transported to local hospitals, according to INDOT.

The right lane of I-70 westbound was closed in the area during the investigation and cleanup, but had reopened by 8:15 a.m.
