WTHR partners with Salvation Army to host Coats for Kids 2023

The annual event helps keep children across Indiana warm during the winter season.

INDIANAPOLIS — WTHR's Coats for Kids distribution is Saturday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, and this year marks the return of in-person shopping.

The annual event helps keep children across Indiana warm during the winter season.

Registered families will be provided time tickets to shop at the Blue Ribbon Pavilion in periods from 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Salvation Army anticipates serving nearly 3,000 children up to age 17 at the annual event.

13News has a full team at the event to help pass out coats to the children.

Last year, thousands of coats were distributed to Hoosier families.
