Heartland Film presents Indy's first ever short film festival

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Heartland International Film Fest is expanding.

On Thursday, you have a chance to check out some of the short films that may play at the film fest.

It's part of the "Indy Shorts International Film Fest."

It will showcase short films at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 26 and 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 29.

IMA is located at 4000 Michigan Road in Indianapolis.

Regular tickets cost $12 and online.

The films that win will be shown at the larger festival in October.
