IMPD: Person arrested after deadly southwest side shooting

The shooting happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Kappes Street.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD has made an arrest after one person was killed in a shooting on the southwest side of Indianapolis Monday evening.

The shooting happened shortly after 6 p.m. April 1 in the 1300 block of Kappes Street, near West Morris Street and South Belmont Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found a man who had apparently been shot.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 39-year-old Dustin Wesley Soubeih.

Late Monday night, police said they did not locate the possible suspect inside the home.

Early Tuesday morning, IMPD confirmed a "quick arrest" was made in the 1000 block of North Traub Avenue.
