2 adults killed, 3 minors injured in overnight Indianapolis shootings

The shootings happened within a two-hour period late Wednesday into early Thursday on Indianapolis' west and far east sides.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after two people died and three minors were injured following three separate overnight shootings in Indianapolis.

The three shootings happened within a two-hour period late Wednesday into early Thursday on Indianapolis' west and far east sides.

West side triple shooting

One person was killed and two minors were injured in a shooting on Indianapolis' west side late Wednesday.

Around 11:30 p.m. March 27, officers responding to an initial report of shots fired in the 400 block of Mariway Road, near North Raceway Road and West 10th Street, found a car had struck a mobile home.

The male driver, an adult, was found with a gunshot wound(s) and pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 20-year-old Ian Kenneth Le Quinn Neberz. His death was ruled a homicide by multiple gunshot wounds.

IMPD Captain Don Weilhammer said officers also found two juvenile males who had been shot. Both were described as "stable" when taken to Eskenazi Hospital.

One person was killed and two minors were injured in a shooting on Indianapolis' west side late Wednesday, police said.

Weilhammer said the minors, who are believed to have been in the car but were found a short distance away, have not provided police with any information on the shooting, and there were no known witnesses to the incident itself.

Officers were canvassing the neighborhood and residents were cooperating with investigators, Weilhammer said.

"The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation at this time," an IMPD spokesperson said in a statement Thursday morning.

The mobile home wasn't badly damaged by the crash and no one inside was injured, police said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Gary Toms at 317-327-3475 or email Gary.Toms@indy.gov.

Boy injured in west side shooting

Roughly 90 minutes after the triple shooting, a minor was injured in a separate west Indianapolis shooting.

Shortly before 1 a.m. March 28, IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3600 block of Macarthur Lane, near Moller Road and West 38th Street.

There they located a person with a gunshot wound(s) who was described as "stable." A public police report indicated a boy was struck when a house was shot at.

No additional information on the circumstances of the incident has been shared by police.

Man dies following far east Indianapolis shooting

Just a few minutes later, around 1:10 a.m. March 28, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 2200 block of Gable Drive, near East 21st Street and North Mitthoefer Road.

There they located a male victim who had apparently been shot and was initially described by IMPD as "awake and breathing."

On April 1, the Marion County Coroner's Office confirmed 25-year-old Addam T. Hart had died following the shooting.

No additional information on the circumstances of that incident has been shared by police.
