Man dies after Franklin shooting; 33-year-old woman arrested on preliminary murder charge

Deputies responded to a report of a person shot Monday around 11:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of North County Road 625 East.

FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Johnson County Sheriff's Office arrested a 33-year-old woman for her alleged role in a deadly shooting Monday morning in Franklin. 

Deputies responded to a report of a person shot in the 3000 block of North County Road 625 East around 11:45 a.m. Feb. 5.

According to a police report, a 33-year-old Franklin woman is suspected of shooting a 35-year-old man, later identified as Jacob Pascal Harville.

Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess confirmed Harville was taken to an Indianapolis hospital in serious condition.

Thursday morning, Burgess confirmed Harville died from his injuries.

Tuesday morning, Burgess said deputies arrested the woman on preliminary charges of attempted murder, auto theft and pointing a firearm. The preliminary charge of attempted murder has been changed to murder. She is currently being held at the Johnson County Jail on no bond.

Detectives are still collecting evidence and information on the shooting.
