INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating the death of a man at an east side apartment complex Saturday night.
Officers responded to a call for a welfare check in the 200 block of North Shortridge Road around 8:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man unresponsive inside an apartment. Medics were called and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Sunday night, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the dead man 27-year-old DaQuan Smith.
A homicide investigation was launched because the man showed signs of trauma.
