17-year-old killed, 2 others injured in west Indianapolis shooting

IMPD officers responded to a report of a shooting at Edwin Court, near Georgetown Road and West 30th Street, early Sunday.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after three people were shot, one fatally, on the city's west side early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a report of the shooting at Edwin Court, near Georgetown Road and West 30th Street, around 1:30 a.m. Nov. 5.

Officers found two 28-year-old men who had been shot, whose conditions were said to be "stable," and a third victim, who was said to be in critical condition. 

The victim in critical condition, who was later identified as a teenage male, died at the hospital from his injuries.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 17-year-old Luis R. Garcia.
