Hang Time Indy is preparing to reopen the July 4th weekend.

A locally-owned family clothing store is on the comeback after being shutdown for months due to COVID-19.

The owners of Hang Time Indy on Indy's near north side are preparing for a re-grand opening the July 4th weekend.

The 38th and Meridian Street store closed at the start of the pandemic.

“This is our flagship location,” Monty Ramadan said. “I think it’s our duty to enhance it and take it to another level for our customers. We want to improve their shopping experience with us. I think they will be impressed with the new look.”

Hang Time has worked over the years to be more community-oriented by serving the public. Examples include a Christmastime food, clothing and a toy giveaway, including a shopping spree for kids.

The pandemic left business slow due to temporary shutdowns at both Indianapolis locations. They decided to use the pandemic downtime to remodel the store and now employees are restocking the shelves with new merchandise.

Employees stock up the store with new merchandise.

Even though they sell many national brands, they want customers to feel like family.

“It's more of a mom and pop feel,” Ramadan said. “We know customers on a by-name basis. We are dealing with the third generation customer now. It's something we are embedded in and this is our dedication to them."

Hang Time's re-grand opening is Friday, July 3 at the 38th and North Meridian Street location. The remodeling includes a special shoe room that allows customers to better browse popular brands and styles.

Ramadan believes customers will also be impressed with their new displays of clothing and accessories, including their brand new hat wall.
