NASHVILLE, Indiana — Singers with dreams of becoming superstars audition and compete each season for the hit show "American Idol," and now, one of its winners is coming to Indiana to perform.
Taylor Hicks, winner of the fifth season of the reality singing competition, is set to perform live at the Brown County Music Center in Nashville on Friday, Aug. 2. The concert is scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

Since winning "American Idol" in 2006, Hicks has released three studio albums and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his single, "Do I Make You Proud."
Tickets for his Brown County concert go on sale Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at Brown County Music Center's website, Ticketmaster and at the venue box office.
