Madison Stacey joined the WTHR team in the Spring of 2021 as a Digital Reporter.
She returns home to Indiana after a two years in East Tennessee, where she worked as a Digital Storyteller covering Appalachian culture and all things Dolly Parton for WBIR Channel 10 in Knoxville.
Madison was most known for her award-winning digital projects, which helped lead the station to Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2019 for Innovation and Multimedia. The televised part of her documentary podcast series about the 2016 Gatlinburg wildfires was nominated for a Serious News Feature Emmy in 2021.
Prior to her time at WBIR, she freelanced for digital publications including Bustle and Culture Trip; and worked briefly at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. She also worked as an anchor and reporter for WTIU in Bloomington, Indiana prior to that.
Madison graduated from Indiana University in 2016.
She’s thrilled to be back home again, and cares very deeply about Hoosiers in the central Indiana community.
