INDIANAPOLIS — It will be soggy and stormy at times through early Friday.
Central Indiana will end up with 1-3 inches of rain and lowland flooding is a concern. The heaviest rain will fall overnight through mid-morning Thursday and could slow the morning drive.
Scattered showers, storms and gusty winds are in the Thursday forecast. A few afternoon storms may reach strong/severe limits across far eastern Indiana between noon and 4 p.m. The main severe threat is farther east into Ohio.
Lingering showers are in the forecast through early Friday before skies start to clear. We are expecting some sun later in the day on Friday but it will be breezy and cooler with highs in the upper 50s.
Make some weekend plans because we have sunshine and near 70 on Saturday and in the middle 70s on Sunday.
