INDIANAPOLIS — A strong southwest wind will continue today and will keep temperatures well above average. Look for highs in the upper 40s near 50 with a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon.
A weak cold front will track through the state overnight which will bring a slight cool-down. Overnight lows fall into the mid-20s. Temperatures will be slightly cooler Monday afternoon, but highs will still be above average in the mid-to-upper 40s. Morning clouds will clear out allowing plenty of afternoon sunshine.
Another frontal boundary will move through Indiana on Tuesday, but this one will bring a few rain showers with it starting around the morning rush. We're then back in the low 50s Tuesday afternoon.
This front will then stall out across the state keeping temperatures mild but keeping rain chances around. The best chance of widespread rain arrives during the second half of the day Wednesday into Thursday morning. Highs will still be in the low 50s Wednesday and fall into the 40s on the backside of this system Thursday.
Colder air continues to take back over on Friday with highs near 40 with a chance of a stray rain or snow shower.
