INDIANAPOLIS — While the winds have relaxed some this morning, they will increase again this afternoon. A Wind Advisory will be in effect for northeast central Indiana, where the wind gusts will be highest.
This area of higher winds expands across the eastern Great Lakes.
The area in the advisory area in Indiana could see gusts near 35 to 45 mph with sustained winds around 20 to 30 mph.
An area of low pressure is still moving east over the Great Lakes. The stronger winds aloft will mix down to the surface.
Winds will be breezy across all of central Indiana today, with sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph.
The winds will be out of the south, allowing afternoon highs to climb into the mid 60s.
Light scattered showers will be around by early evening, tapering off early Saturday morning.
