Expanded Big Ten reveals men's basketball opponents. Here's where IU and Purdue are headed next year

Each school will play seven teams at home only and seven others away only, with three home-and-home matchups.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana's Big Ten teams will make the same road trips to play the conference's newest members in men's basketball next season.

The Big Ten released the list of opponents for each school Wednesday, giving a glimpse at the travel plans for teams with the addition of former Pac-12 schools Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington.

The conference will again play a 20-game league slate, with each school playing seven opponents only at home and seven others only on the road. Each team will play a home-and-home with three opposing schools.

For both Indiana and Purdue, that means a trip to Oregon and Washington and home games against conference newcomers UCLA and USC.

The Hoosiers and Boilermakers will play each other twice, while Indiana gets a home and road game against Ohio State and Penn State. Purdue will also face Michigan and Rutgers in a home-and-home series.

USC and UCLA will have games at Rutgers and Maryland, and Oregon and Washington will visit Penn State.

The former Pac-12 teams will play each other twice. Each of the other 14 teams in the Big Ten will play two road games against West Coast schools.

The dates and times for the 2024-25 Big Ten schedule will be released in the future.

Indiana is also scheduled to play in the Battle 4 Atlantis event Nov. 27-29, 2024, along with Arizona, Creighton, Davidson, Gonzaga, Louisville, Oklahoma and West Virginia.

The conference has yet to make an announcement on the women's basketball schedule for the upcoming season.
