Reggie Miller reflects on his show on Channel 13

After an 18-year career with the Indiana Pacers, Reggie Miller has spent 19 seasons broadcasting on TNT Sports.

INDIANAPOLIS — Reggie Miller is staying with TNT Sports.

The Indiana Pacers legend and hall of famer signed a multiyear deal with the network, TNT Sports announced Thursday.

“There is no finer ambassador for the NBA and everything we bring with our coverage of the league, and we’re thrilled to extend our relationship for many years to come,” said Nate Smeltz, senior vice president of talent and global communications for TNT Sports.

The contract will extend Miller's time with the network to more than 25 years.

“I’ve been lucky enough to have two constants in my adult life: 18 years with the Indiana Pacers and 19+ years with TNT Sports,” Miller said.

On Friday, 13Sports Director Dave Calabro asked Miller talk about the old "Reggie Miller Show" that had aired on Channel 13.

"It was the best," Miller said. "It prepared me for be being up here in front of you guys and doing what I've been doing with Turner for 19-plus years. To have a chance to interview world-class athletes and politicians and just have a chance to be on the microphone and be uncomfortable speaking in front of people, it was awesome. It was awesome working with you and having the fans come down, doing a monologue in front of a live audience, which was a little intimidating. But it was fun. You get comfortable with it and I had a good time. We had some good shows too, really good shows."

Miller was drafted 11th overall by the Pacers in the 1987 NBA Draft out of UCLA. He spent 18 years with Indiana, retiring as the NBA's all-time leader in career three-pointers. He currently ranks fourth.

He was named to the All-Star team five times in his career, becoming the first Pacers player to start in the game in 1995. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.

He joined TNT Sports in 2005 and will be on the broadcast for his 17th NBA All-Star Game Sunday, Feb. 18 from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
