INDIANAPOLIS – Fans of the Indiana Pacers will be able to purchase the team's logo on their license plates in 2017.
The Bureau of Motor Vehicles has designated the Pacers Foundation for Special Group Recognition plates and, for an additional $40, fans across Indiana can show their support on their cars, trucks, motorcycles and recreational vehicles. Of the $40 fee, $25 will go to support the foundation's youth-serving organizations throughout the state.
The Pacers’ SGR plate will be available for sale at any BMV license branch and online through myBMV.com.
The plates will feature the Pacers logo on the left side, with the words "Pacers Foundation" across the bottom.
“Since the Foundation’s beginning in 1994, more than $7 million has been donated,” according to Pacers Foundation Board Chairman Rick Fuson.
Personalized plates can also be requested for an additional fee of $45. Purchasers can request specific numbers from 101-9999 on a first-come, first-served basis.
