Dylan Sprouse named grand marshal of 2024 Indy 500

As grand marshal, the actor will give the traditional command for drivers to report to their cars during the official pre-race ceremonies on Sunday, May 26.

SPEEDWAY, Ind. — Actor Dylan Sprouse will serve as the grand marshal of the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, May 26 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

As grand marshal, Sprouse will give the traditional command for drivers to report to their cars during the official pre-race ceremonies. He will also walk the Indy 500 red carpet.

Sprouse appears in the upcoming movie, "The Duel," which was filmed at several Hoosier locations.

"Dylan’s film, 'The Duel,' was partially filmed in the Hoosier State, making him an ideal grand marshal for the Indy 500," IMS President Doug Boles said. "The energy and excitement Dylan brings to his on-screen roles will be evident to both spectators at the track and everyone watching on NBC and Peacock as he commands drivers to their cars."

"The Duel" follows two friends who decide to settle their differences with an old-school duel, taking their friend group on an outrageous adventure to a mysterious and stunning estate.

The dark comedy premiered at the Mammoth Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award, and then went on to win Best Picture and Best Screenplay at other festivals across the country.

"The Duel," produced by Indiana's own Pigasus Pictures, is slated for a theatrical release at the end of July.

Sprouse will be joined at the Indy 500 by his wife, Victoria Secret supermodel Barbara Palvin Sprouse, as well as "The Duel" cast members, including María Gabriela de Faría ("Superman," "Deadly Class"), Hart Denton ("Riverdale," "13 Reasons Why"), Rachel Matthews ("Happy Death Day," "Frozen 2"), Christian McGaffney ("Simón") and more.

Sprouse's acting credits include "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," "The Suite Life on Deck," "Beautiful Disaster" and "After We Collided."

The 108th Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 26 and will air on WTHR Channel 13. Click here to visit the IMS Ticket Marketplace.
