'Bluey' returning to Victory Field after record crowd

Nearly 12,000 fans came out to Victory Field Sunday to say hello to Bluey and Bingo and cheer the Indianapolis Indians to a 5-0 win.

INDIANAPOLIS — The world's favorite cartoon dogs will return to Victory Field this summer after a record-setting day on Sunday.

Nearly 12,000 fans came out to meet Bluey and Bingo Heeler from the hit animated series "Bluey" at Victory Field April 21. That crowd was the largest non-Opening Day April crowd in Victory Field history.

The wait to meet the characters was estimated as long as four hours before Sunday's game, in which the Indianapolis Indians defeated the St. Paul Saints, 5-0.

To meet the overwhelming demand, the Indians announced Sunday that Bluey and Bingo would return to Victory Field the weekend of Aug. 3-4, 2024.
