Pittsburgh Penguins' Jaromir Jagr Bobblehead Night is disrupted by stolen shipment

The team was supposed to give away bobbleheads of the legendary hockey star at tonight's game, but the shipment was stolen en route to Pittsburgh, the team says.

PITTSBURGH — Tonight's NHL game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the San Jose Sharks is supposed to be Jaromir Jagr Bobblehead Night.

There's only one problem: No bobbleheads.

The team announced on social media Thursday morning that the shipment of Jagr bobbleheads was stolen on its way to Pittsburgh.

As a result, the team said, there will be no bobbleheads distributed to fans who attend tonight's game.

Instead, fans will receive a voucher that includes a one-time scannable barcode they'll need to pick up the bobblehead at a later date, according to the team.

The location and dates of pickup will be shared when the pilfered bobbledheads are found, or when new ones are manufactured and available for distribution.
