Gibson County - A man wanted in connection with a triple murder and the shooting of a fourth man has been arrested.

Indiana State Police arrested Nicholas Harbison near Wheeling Tuesday afternoon. Harbison, 23, was taken to the Pike County jail, where he is being held without bond until his initial court appearance.

Harbison's girlfriend, Misty Davis, was released to her parents. Initially Davis and Harbison were accompanied by Harbison's stepmother, Joyce Harbison, and his young daughter. Joyce Harbison and the little girl returned home safely last week, but Joyce was arrested. Police say she paid for hotel rooms under her maiden name as the four traveled in Arkansas and Tennessee. The family of Misty Davis set up a website pleading for their daughter's safe return.

Police say Harbison fatally shot and stabbed three people and seriously wounded another in a July 17 attack in a Pike County cornfield. Keela Lynch, 18, Daniel White, 21 and Rebeka Acorn, 17, were killed. White's brother Cameron, 18, survived, but is still being treated for his injuries.

Harbison is being charged with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
