Saturn is making an appearance in the night sky this month and Tuesday is likely the best day to catch a glimpse.

The ringed planet is at "opposition" this week, meaning it's at the closest point in its orbit to Earth. That should allow Saturn to be seen without a telescope.

Clear skies across Indiana will give Hoosiers a good place to see the planet. However, haze from Canadian wildfires could obscure the view for some.

According to AccuWeather, Saturn will rise in the southeast around sunset and move across the sky before setting in the southwest at dawn. Those observers with a telescope should be able to see the planet's famous rings and, potentially, Saturn's largest moon Titan.

If you can't find Saturn at first, AccuWeather says Jupiter should be easier to spot. Once you find it, look off to the left ot find Saturn.

And if you don't have luck seeing Saturn on Tuesday, it will be visible for the rest of the month, with another great opportunity on July 16-17, when the Full Thunder Moon will shine bright next to the planet.
