WALTON, Ky. (WTHR) — We've heard a lot of measured response to the coronavirus outbreak from the White House down to our local government leaders. A Kentucky mayor has a different approach.

Walton Mayor Gabe Brown took to Facebook Monday evening to let everyone in his community know where he stands.

"Listen up dips**ts and sensible people. I might not have the best bedside manor. I might not put you at ease like the Governor does, but I don’t care. You need to realize that this is a serious ordeal. In fact, it’s a big f**king deal. Stay at home," Brown wrote.

He said he was doing his best to protect the people he serves, but that people need to stop doing nonsensical things.

"Treat this seriously. If you don’t, then screw you (f**k you is what I want to say, but I can’t)," Brown wrote.

Brown said he takes several calls about the virus each day and that if people don't like what he has to say, then they should go buy some toilet paper.
