INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - There's a creative food combination that has a lot of foodies talking.
We're talking fried chicken and pizza.
So logically, KFC has dubbed it the "Chizza."
The dish isn't new to the menu chain. It was rolled out in the Philippines in July, but it will make its Japan debut on Nov. 1.
Here's the Philippine version of the Chizza:
The dish replaces traditional pizza dough with fried chicken.
It includes chicken on the bottom, tomato sauce, cheese, and toppings like pepperoni, pineapple and green peppers.
Will this menu item make to U.S. KFC restaurants.
Don't count on it.
Reports suggest the "Chizza" is similar to the chicken parmesan, so it wouldn't be new or exciting.
