Whitestown finalizes location for Little League headquarters

The town council in Whitestown is finalizing its plan to build a new Little League headquarters in Boone County.

WHITESTOWN, Ind. (WTHR) - The town council in Whitestown is finalizing its plan to build a new Little League headquarters in Boone County.

The council approved the purchase agreement Wednesday night to buy property at the former Wrecks Inc. site on S. Indianapolis Road. The 20-acre site will be home to the Little League International Central Region Headquarters.

The complex will include at least two ball fields and a 10,000-square-foot headquarters building

The facility will host regional Little League baseball and softball regional tournaments each year. There will also be broadcast facilities built to allow ESPN to broadcast the tournament games.

The games are expected to bring $5-10 million to local businesses annually.

Little League International plans to have the facility ready to host tournament games in 2020.
