City and community leaders are prepping for another weekend downtown packed with hundred of teens who hang out at the mall.

The Circle Center Mall downtown is a prime destination for young people. The biggest crowds happen on Saturday nights. Mall security and IMPD's downtown district get chaperone help from volunteer clergy who walk the mall to help manage the teens.

The youngsters are welcome, but bad behavior is not.

"We support teens being teens and we want teens to have fun, but we want it to be safe fun," said Deputy Mayor Dr. David Hampton. "We want to make sure that our teens are well represented and that the adults have had that conversation before they leave house."

Hampton said those conversations about their mall visit will help make sure your kids return home safely.
