US Postal Service looking to hire more than 300 mail handler assistants in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — The United States Postal Service is looking to hire more than 300 mail handler assistants in Indianapolis and is hosting several job fairs over the next few weeks.

The job fairs will be held at the Wanamaker post office branch at 7950 Southeastern Ave., near South Franklin Road on the southeast side of Indianapolis, at the following dates/times:

  • Tuesday, March 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 6, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 7, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 13, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Pay for the positions starts at $18.62 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be able to pass a criminal background investigation and be available to work weekends and holidays.
