UPDATE: Justice the dog 'never looked better' with foster family

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) — The dog that suffered severe chemical burns after an intentional attack is on the up and up.

Two-year-old Justice showed up at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter in November 2018 with severe injuries after someone poured chemicals all over him.

After undergoing long treatment by vets, Justice was put up for adoption.

Justice is now with a foster family, and a recent update from the shelter shows he's doing great.

"Although I don't look like my former self before the chemical was purposely poured all over me, I honestly think I have never looked better," the update said.

The update said Justice is enjoying good food (grilled steak cooked to medium), learning commands and growing his muscles now that he can exercise.

Police are still looking for the person responsible for injuring justice. There is a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
