State fair extends deadline for discounted tickets due to computer delays

The Indiana State Fair is extending its sale of discounted tickets due to delays.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indiana State Fair is extending its sale of discounted tickets due to delays.

The fair tweeted late Thursday that a "high volume of gate admission orders" had caused several users to experience delays in purchasing tickets.

About an hour later, the fair tweeted again, saying they were "committed to extending our discount ticket offer" to let everyone have a chance to take advantage. The discounted ticket offer was scheduled to expire at midnight Thursday.

The fair said Friday morning it will sell discounted tickets through midnight Friday. The discounted price is $8, with children five and under getting in free.

This year's Indiana State Fair opens Friday and runs through August 18.
