INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Sahm's at the Tower will be closed today after a small fire broke out in a room that stores refrigeration equipment.
The Marion County Board ofo Health will determine when the restaurant can reopen.
The alarm went off around 4 a.m. Thursday when a fire broke out in the restaurant on the first floor.
The flame set off alarms and the sprinkler system throughout the building.
Fire damage was minimal, but there was significant smoke damage.
Traffic was temporarily blocked northbound on Illinois Street at Ohio Street, and westbound on Ohio Street at Meridian. All roads were open by 5:45 a.m.
The Board of Health is determining if the entire building will need to be shut down for the day.
No one was injured in the fire.
