The City of Indianapolis Public Safety Communications Center experienced telephone problems Saturday afternoon.

A spokesman told Eyewitness News that the trunked lines that provide non-emergency (327-3811) and direct access from private alarm companies were disrupted.

The spokesman said that there were no problem with the lines supporting 911, and that emergency calls were received without disruption.

Service was restored to the lines at about 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
